Karate History:
I started Karate in February 1992 at a small church hall in Werribee at the Yuishinkan dojo at age of 15 under Shihan John Ingham.
I achieved my 1st Dan black belt in 1996. A few years later I started to teach Karate at a small hall in Laverton with a number of other black belts at the time and then we moved to Altona for a number of years.
In 2008 I began the club in the Tarneit community centre in which I’m still an active member and head instructor.
It is now my role as a 6th Dan to guide Shane Harrison in his path as head instructor of the Tarneit dojo.
Also as Australian Chief Instructor it is my role to over see all the club dojos and make sure that we all keep up with Kisaki’s training and don’t loose what he has passed down to Shihan John Ingham.

What do you love about karate?
I love being able to pass down what has been taught to me by Shihan John Ingham and being able to see the difference in the members as they make their own journey through their karate life. It is good to see the young ones that start and continue through and achieve their black belts and then pass on the training that I have passed to them.
